I contracted w/ Bay Law Group back in Sept. 2009. Paid them almost $4000 for them to work on a loan modification for me. The reason I trusted them is they completed one for my mom under the name Alliance Mortgage Group. Her loan was awesome. They "worked" on my loan for over a year and kept requesting the same information every 3 months but nothing was getting done. They sent me a certified letter Monday stating they were terminating their services because they sent me a borrowers authorization and I didn't return it. First, Wachovia doesn't accept an authorization but their own and the lender didn't send me one. I called my lender and was told Marc Blankenship, who I'd been working with called in on July 22nd but wasn't authorized to talk to them. I had emailed Marc on July 14th and never was told there were any problems. They try to make it seem like I was unresponsive when they were always unresponsive. I worked with Jay Lamarre, Marika Rathfelder, Marc Blankenship, Amber, Mike and a few others I can't remember. Since the letter all the phone lines have been disconnected and emails are bouncing. I want my money back. Has anyone been successful at getting a refund?
