I got a shipment from Dewey and Dewey a few months ago, I ordered over 50 Poison Dart Frogs and 2 Red Eye Armored Skinks, the frogs were magnificant, but there were two containers in the box titled Red Eye Armored Skinks and had some news paper shredding and no animal, both containers were empty. It took a couple of days but finally got a reply from Andy and he said he was sorry and didn't know how that happened since he packaged everything himself. He told me he would ship them out the next day, two days later I still have no skinks, I got a hold of him again and he said he didn't know he no longer had any left in stock and it would be a week before he would be able to get any more in stock, he could refund my money or send them next week. A week came and he told me the skinks he got in were not in good shape, I chose to wait another week and still no skinks, I then told him just to refund my money so he did.
The next order I placed in July I had a few things on it, two of which were a red and yellow nigerian uromastyx. They were the most beautiful colored uro's I have ever seen but they were skin and bones, I emailed him right away and told him I was not happy because I specifically said in my order no grade B animals, he replied and said that he packaged them himself and they looked great, I sent him pictures of them with their hip bones showing, and no fat reserves in their tails at all and there stomachs were sunk in showing ribs also, he replied back "I don't know what to say". the next day the yellow uro died as well as one of the frogs he sent me, that looked horrible as well. He told me he would give me a credit for the animals. This past week I placed another order with him for Egytian Uro's. I asked him how he was able to get them and he told me they were farm raised in Jordan. I was so excited, but because of the experience with the last order I asked for pictures, he sent them and they looked great. I told him I wanted 2 of them and I placed an order for several other things. This was Wednesday 8/11/10 I asked him if he was shipping them out that day and he replied he couldn't but they would be going out on Thursday. Friday I had no email confirmation of tracking number and no animals, I called him several times and no body ever answered, I always got the machine and his cell phone number just said the voice mail box was full, no email replies either. Saturday same thing. Monday I finally got an email reply that said "I am out of town, will ship them Wednesday" no other explanation of any kind. I was furious and told him in my email that his lack of communication is very unprofessional and I am upset that my business doesn't mean anything to him. Wednesday came and still nothing all day, we called again and still got the machine now remember this is a business that is supposed to be open during certain hours and I never was able to talk to a person. It was always the business answering machine.. I have not received any email replies. I have decided never to order anything from them again and after reading some of the interesting information about how he runs his business I advise others to take their business elsewhere.
