Ref: Complaint against Ron Edwards, Certified Integrative Cancer Nutritionist
My husband, daughter and I met Ron Edwards at a cancer Seminar in San Francisco, CA. September 2011. He spoke of being a cancer coach in which he believed that vitamin deficiencies weakened ones immune system, resulting in cancerous cells. I was curious, and we exchanged telephone numbers.
He contacted me, gave me more information about himself and his business called “Nutrition is Why!”. He suggested that going through his program, I could see deficiencies in my blood, urine, and saliva. After which I could purchase vitamins thru him to bring these areas within standard range.
He spoke of working with two companies, Spectracell and Neuro Science. I would get a blood test from Spectracell ($370.00), a urine and saliva test from Neuro Science ($339.00) as well as a 3 month’s supply of supplements ($635.00) from him. He said that the cost would be $1344.00. I agreed and sent him a check Nov. 2, 2011. Enclosed is a copy of the cancelled check. I had the blood test as well as the urine and saliva tests, and received only 1 month’s supply of vitamins.
I am extremely disappointed that I did not receive the 3 month’s supply of vitamins that were promised. In spite of numerous contacts that I made, he’d always promise to send them but never did.
On 5/8/12, he returned my call leaving a voicemail message saying that the IRS froze his bank account and he was securing outside financing that should come thru in the next few days. As of today, I have not heard from him. He should not be allowed to practice as a cancer coach because he is very unprofessional and takes advantage of vulnerable patients. Neither should he be allowed to use the title “certified Integrative Cancer Nutritionist”.
I am seeking reimbursement of the 2 month’s supply of vitamins totaling $423.34.
