I just finished my open water certification. I searched in the area for a few different shops and Eco had the cheapest, though there were others at that price point. I went here because of the yelp reviews. I checked out the shop before signing up and everybody was very nice and helpful.
I had Shane as my instructor and he rocked. Very professional, thorough, had us well prepared, and fun to hang out with. Everyone had a great time at the dive and we were all certified. I met a few other instructors and got a similar feeling from them. I met one lady who initially couldn't handle being under water and the assistant instructor worked with her one on one for some time.
If you do the class, ask about the deal they have for your gear for the classes. It's low end and you may want to upgrade, but it makes sense if Scuba isn't going to be your thing.
