If your mortgage company uses Land Gorilla for the appraisal, run away!
They contracted a third party appraiser in our area to appraise our property. The appraiser never set foot on our property! Sent a couple to measure and take pictures.
When we tried to have the mistakes corrected and the additional comps considered, we were told those things wouldn't make a difference in the value. What??
So since the value was low the mortgage company wanted to charge more interest. Not sure what kind of scam they are running, but I am reporting them to every agency that will listen.
I requested a refund, but so far I have been ignored on that point.
