DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE!!
I took my car to Neftin because my car was stalling on the freeway and putting me in danger. After telling Steve P. that I had heard the coils may be under a recall, he said I could bring it in, but the only way to know for sure is to pay a $100 diagnostic fee to check. After I refused, he finally waived it, and it turns out the coils were under recall. Unfortunately, when they returned my car, the “Door Ajar” indicator light and the dome light were both on with all doors were closed. Furthermore, with this issue, my security alarm wouldn't arm, since the car thought a door was open. Steve then tried to charge me another diagnostic fee to see what was wrong. I refused again and he eventually waived it. Turns out it's a $250 part that is now bad, but that they didn't do anything that could've caused it- that the part must have just gone bad while they were working on it. Furthermore, Steve said that the coils being bad wouldn't cause my car to stall. Now I'm worried that it will stall again on the way home, putting me in danger. Master tech, Mike, also didn't know what could be causing the problem. I left there in worse shape than when I arrived. Fortunately, my car did not stall again (so the coils WERE the problem), but I was now faced with fixing the door issue on my own. Steve did nothing to ease my distress, nor did he try to take any ownership. My boyfriend ended up taking the car apart and fixing the issue with a screwdriver and pliers. And Neftin was powerless to help.
