I started remodeling my home - Hired a flooring guy, a contractor that could do the framing and carpentry stuff, a plumber my neighbor knows, and an electrician I found in the Valley Yellow Pages.
The electrician, plumber, framer and so on...would show up for a day, do a bit of work then leave without telling me when they were coming back or how far they had gotten. Happened over and over again. My project went nowhere.
All the guys blamed their slow service on someone else. The electrician blamed the framer that he had more things to build and that the framer 'was not done' even though I had already paid him. The plumber blamed the electrician and anyone else he could. Everyone’s excuses got to be more and more ridiculous. Time dragged on and I was through- with all of them.... Not to mention all of them seemed to have helpers/employees with them, but none of them had workers comp when I check them out on the California contractor license website.
Remodel Pros stepped in - and took care of business! They had done a complete remodel for a friend of mine that has a REALLY nice house in SLO. They added some square footage to her house too... made a movie theater room, wine cellar, outdoor bbq and firepit area...the works! I didn't need half that. My project was small in comparison and didn't have the funds to spend that type a money.
Ben and his Remodel Pros crew took one look at my project 'progress' and what I wanted, and worked me up a bid that met my needs perfectly and was cheaper that my other guys I had originally hired. I saw the same guys every day till the project was done. They didn't sub out anything and did everything with their own employees. NO ONE TO BLAME! There craftsmanship was beautiful even on my little home. They went so fast and I was so impressed. Communication was great, they took care of my permits, and they showed me samples and helped me pick stuff out as we went along. I would recommend these guys to ANYONE...FOR ANYTHING! Thanks
p.s. Someone told me they do small repairs now too...might want to see if they do. :)
